Welcome to Shelley S. Berven & Associates, LLC!
We are a collaborative of committed, highly trained mental health professionals co-located in the lovely Highland Park neighborhood of St. Paul. As a group, we offer general mental health assessments and treatment for adolescents, adults, families and couples. Our areas of specialty include anxiety and depressive disorders, ADHD-related disorders, substance use disorders, trauma and complex PTSD related disorders. We accept many health insurance plans including Aetna, BXBS of MN, Medica/UBH/United HealthCare, Preferred One, Beacon Health Options (formerly ValueOptions), Minnesota Care, Medical Assistance, TriCare, UCare and WEA Trust and can offer a sliding fee scale for those without insurance.
Our providers are members of a Minnesota State-certified DBT Consultation Team that offers adherent DBT Skills Training programming. As a collaboration of eight mental health providers each with a different specialty, we facilitate several adult DBT Skills Training Groups in St. Paul:
* Monday 5:00-7:00 pm, Terri Ulschmid, MA, LPCC and Kate Jorgensen, MSW, LGSW facilitate
* Tuesday 4:15-6:15 pm, Jodie Holzman, MSW, LICSW and Rosalie Harmer, MA, LP facilitate
* Wednesday 4:30-6:30 pm, Shelley Berven, MSW, LICSW and Kathrine Brathen, MA, LP facilitate
* Friday 10:00 am-noon, Kathrine Brathen and Jodie Holzman facilitate
An Adolescent DBT Skills Training Group is offered on
* Wednesday 4:30-5:30 pm, Jodie Holzman and Ruth Spiegel, MA, LMFT, LADC facilitate
We recently added a Young Adult DBT Skills Training Group facilitated by Shelley Berven and Kate Jergensen,
* Thursday 3:30-5:30 pm.
Our colleague, Tracy A. Schmidt, MA, LPCC, LADC facilitates an adult DBT Skills Training Group at her office in Savage
Thursday 4:30-6:30 pm and an Aftercare Group.
Each DBT Skills Training Group operates throughout the year with new members joining at the start of a module. You can contact the Lead facilitator for more information on start dates and intake procedures.
